“Karate ni sente nashi — there is no first attack in karate.”

Karaté Do, located in Lachine, was founded by Sensei Constantin Calistru and Sensei Raluca Stanescu, who wanted to implement a dojo in their neighborhood and bring their values and knowledge to the population of Lachine, through traditional karate.

What began years ago is now a thriving dojo with two locations, offering classes for children and adults. Some of our certified instructors have over twenty five years of experience, while others have risen from among the students who started here decades ago, as white belts.
